Project Background
Segue Technologies is a custom IT service and software development company that uses its website as a vehicle to collect leads and market services to potential clients. The website showcases past work examples and provides information about services and capabilities. The site is also used for inbound marketing by promoting blogs written by staff encouraging users to subscribe to ebooks and other content to generate leads and drive traffic to the website.
As the lead behind this project, I was able to cherry pick specific design trends to be included on the updated website. I researched platforms to determine the best CMS to meet our needs and performed a content audit to take inventory, and track information that required updating. I created low fidelity wireframes based off user feedback from research techniques like card sorting and a task analysis exercise, and shared this with stakeholders. Once the wireframes were approved, the project was developed in Word Press and I supported QA and testing efforts before it was launched.
The refreshed site design increased web page visits 17.63% and contact form conversions went up 246% which resulted in a significant amount of new leads for the company to pursue. In addition, multiple staff members are able to manage content instead of relying on the development team to make updates, streamlining workflow, saving money and creating more business opportunities.
